SUMMARY:18nth International Conference on Urban Health- ICUH
DESCRIPTION:18nth International Conference on Urban Health- ICUH\n24-27 October\, 2022 | Valencia Spain\nThe 18nth International Conference on Urban Health (ICUH) is an annual initiative of the International Society of Urban Health (ISUH).\nISOCARP supports this event as a Conference Partner. \nThere is a growing body of urban health research and evidence\, yet gaps exist in knowledge generation\, translation\, and application for urban design and health practice. In this context\, the International Conference on Urban Health serves as a key convergence point to advance and support the generation\, exchange\, and application of urban health programs and policies. Through the Conference and program activities\, the ISUH serves as a platform for interdisciplinary academic researchers and educators\, practitioners and policymakers from multiple sectors in government and the private sector. \nThe theme for ICUH 2022 is Growing Our Global Community. Driving Action. Ensuring Equity. During this year’s conference\, we aim to connect all global stakeholders working within the urban health realm to drive action and ensure equity across cities and regions. We will explore how urban health can connect with other urban and global agendas\, such as climate change\, planetary health and sustainable development. We will explore models for engagement and empowerment\, prioritizing and defining equity across communities\, how biodiversity and natural elements can play a role in healthy urban futures\, and ways to reduce climate impacts for all. \nConference Themes\n\nUrban Natural Environments & Ecosystem (nature and promotion of health in cities)\nUrban Health Pathways (generating evidence that sheds light on the drivers of urban health that are still emerging)\nTransforming Urban Environments for Health (turning evidence into practice: implementation science\, policy\, governance strategies\, interventions\, innovations\, partnerships and networks)\nMaking it Happen (Mechanisms for supporting health and wellbeing in urban environments) \nBuilding Equitable Cities for All (empowering vulnerable and excluded populations\, addressing health disparities\, informality\, environmental and health justice)\nEvidence and Practice from Valencia and Spain (local contributions on the above topics or new locally relevant topics) \n\nFinal Deadline for Abstract and Proposal Submissions\, May 31st\nFor more information and Submissions find the link here.
