25th REAL CORP 2020 ‘Shaping urban change: Livable City Regions for the 21st century’
September 15-18, 2020
REAL CORP 2020 aims to discuss strategies and concepts for quality change management in light of the challenges outlined above, which arise in neighbourhoods, cities, urban regions and metropolitan areas. This also raises the question of who the actual actors of current urban, regional and metropolitan regional development are and what role planners can play in the corresponding scenarios.
The renowned RWTH Aachen in the historical European medium-sized city of Aachen, in the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia with its rich mining and industrial tradition, located in a cross-border city region in the border triangle Germany-Belgium-Netherlands, is the ideal place to discuss these developments and challenges with experts from all over the world.
CORP2020: Wednesday, 15 April will be freely accessible (no participation fee) – only “special sessions” at that “special day”, we start with sessions on ‘New Energy-Systems in the Neighbourhood / Neue Energiesysteme im Quartier’ (in German language) and parallel to it ‘State-Of-The-Art and Upcoming Urban (Planning) Technologies’ and ‘Contemporary Developments and Response of the Planning Profession in Major Cities’, afterwards OFFICIAL OPENING and we are looking forward for fantastic keynote speakers Prof. MAARTEN HAJER and Dr. PEDRO B. ORTIZ, followed by a panel discussion and – of course – wine, water and bretzels.
Detailed program for Wednesday, April 15 is already available online so please feel free to invite colleagues, that might not register for the whole conference, for this special day with free admission.
