Durban, South Africa
16 May 2018 – 19 May 2018
Globally, societies are in transition due to environmental challenges, shifts in political power, and social changes. All these pose a threat to the sustainability of the physical and human environment, and growing inequality threatens both the social and natural environment. Environmental management should serve to translate environmental costs into wellbeing benefits for all of humankind and not just the privileged few. About 800 delegates from 70+ nations will gather in Durban at the 38th annual conference of the International Association for Impact Assessment to discuss these challenges as well as other aspects of impact assessment.
