2019 Elections

of the International Society of City and Regional Planners

Elections will be held at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM)
of the International Society of City and Regional Planners
to fill the following vacancies for three-year terms.

The office of Secretary General
Three ordinary Board Members

23 April:   Announcement of call
19 July:   Nominations close
July-August:   Dialogue and discussion
14 August:   Online voting opens
11 September:   AGM at the Jakarta Congress


Candidates

The Board is proud to announce that on the Elections ’19 Call for Candidates we have received nominations for 3 candidates for the office of Secretary General and 19 candidates for the position of ordinary Board Members. This number of candidates is much larger than we anticipated and it is proof of the vitality of ISOCARP as an active network of planners worldwide.

The candidates and nominators are current members of ISOCARP and must agree with the Society’s Constitution, the Code of Conduct and the elections document. The election brochure explains the governance of ISOCARP and the roles and activities of the elected officers. These offices are honorary (unpaid). Members of the Board are financially responsible for the Society.
