The Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the University of Westminster is creating
an exciting new research team specialising in sustainable urbanism. This team of academic staff,
post-doctoral researchers and doctoral students will conduct investigations into innovative
advances in the research and practice of sustainable urbanism. Led by Professor Michael
Neuman, this is a multi-year, research and design-driven enquiry into the collaborative,
interdisciplinary practices in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, infrastructure,
urban planning and design, and sustainability analytics. You will work in a small team in
establishing a new research programme, as well as conducting the research, employing novel
cross-disciplinary approaches in both research and practice.
