Join the International Society of City and Regional Planners
ISOCARP has members in 85 countries; has brought together the world’s planning practitioners at the World Planning Congress for 54 years without a break; is recognised by the United Nations, UNESCO, UN-Habitat and the Council of Europe; produces one of the world’s best publication on planning practice, the annual ISOCARP Review; published the encyclopaedic International Manual of Planning Practice; and is recognised for its international Urban Planning Advisory Teams and Young Planning Professionals events.
ISOCARP is a Society of, by and for the members. We are all involved in city and regional planning in its many forms. We communicate, we network, we organise events and we meet at the annual Congress. The above images are from the 2018 World Planning Congress in Norway, a great event.
We look forward to welcoming city and regional planners from around the globe, who care about planning, who want to interact with their international colleagues, who seek international planning opportunities, who wish to share international planning experience, and who are focused on a career in city and regional planning.
Join now – for just 54 euros a year – and your membership continues until July 2020.
— BUT PLEASE READ THIS NOTE FIRST…
- We look forward to welcoming you as a member. All members are equal, and all members pay an annual membership fee of 54 euros.
- Members govern the Society under our Constitution, they share a Code of Conduct, and they are protected by our Privacy Policy.
- In the application form below, the very first question asks you to tell us your preferred full name – that’s how it will be recorded, included in a directory, printed on a conference badge, and placed in an alphabetical list.
- Then we ask some less common questions about names and titles, to accommodate diverse traditions from all parts of the globe.
- We have added an explanation after the less common questions — and most others.
- We also ask some questions so you can show that you are eligible for membership, namely, that you have the education and/or experience to practice city and regional planning and housing, or alternatively that you are eligible to belong to your national professional planning institute – or you can present other evidence.
- In the interests of member links and networking, we ask you to use our template to upload a simple and brief curriculum vitae.
- Please remember that when your application is approved, you will be able to edit and add to your profile on our website Planetary, control what is seen by others, upload your full cv at any time, add documents, and add links to your web pages.
- Finally, as you complete the application, you can always scroll up to this page at any time, or return by clicking on Preferred Name in the navigation bar.
