National Delegations organise and host special National or Regional YPP Workshops for Young Planning Professionals. These are usually organised in close cooperation with ISOCARP and involve both national and international Young Planners in a dynamic workshop setting. National workshops focus on YPPs coming from one country and Regional workshops focus on YPPs coming from the particular region of the world. The partners may include national or regional planning associations, universities, municipalities and other types of state, regional and local authorities. The main purpose of these types of the workshops is to strengthen the planning workshop and professional abilities of the young planners (usually under the age of 35), especially coming from the countries and areas where planning systems, education and practice are less developed, undergoing major changes or require developing new approaches. But this concept may and should be used also in case of highly developed countries, where YPPs are in need of broadening their professional workshop and are willing to gain new experiences coming from working with foreign tutors and on specific topic.
