In December 2016 ISOCARP Institute and UniverCities signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
UniverCities (an Open Innovation Platform) as ICT based instrument offers constructive use of scientific and practice-based knowledge and Big Data by combining data available to institutions (knowledge and information) in three information clusters: Internet of Things, Internet of People and Internet of Knowledge. This enables users to access instant relevant knowledge, analyses, statistics and solutions on urban and regional planning issues and connect to applicable technology and service providers at any time, anywhere and in any local context.
The overall general objective of the Collaboration Agreement between participants is the basis for further development of a business relationship between the ISOCARP Institute and UniverCities and to initiate actions to foster the achievement of the participants’ respective objectives in the field of advancing urban planning by active use of emerging ICT technology.
