Nathan Iyer is an Urban Designer and founder and Creative Director of IYER – Planning, Urban Design and Architecture. IYER is an interdisciplinary design studio with offices in Durban and Johannesburg.

Nathan has worked as a designer across the fields of planning, urban design, architecture and landscape architecture.

Nathan has been the lead Urban Designer on a range of significant projects in Durban including the Moses Mabhida Stadium and Precinct, the Point Waterfront, Bridge City and Cornubia new towns, the Umhlanga Pier, the Go Durban BRT Stations and Precincts.

Nathan he is currently the lead Urban Designer for 2 smart cities in Mauritius which are currently under construction.

The various projects completed projects, bear testament to his interest and commitment to designing cities, buildings and places for people.
