LanCor+ Call for students 2015The LaNCoR + Project

LaNCoR +, is an acronym for Landscapes and Initiatives for Neighborhood and Community Revival + (plus). This project is an initiative of CLEAN AFRICA, an international NGO and partnered by SPAYSIS, Rethink and the Kumasi Archdioceses. The project‘s location is Appiadu, a town near KNUST.

As can be deduced from its name the project intends to creatively use a vast land in the town for a multipurpose rendezvous, i.e. a playground for kids, recreational ground for the entire family, vocational institute for developing the talents and skills of the youth and a counseling centre for parents. All intended to spur up self – help attitude and initiative, family and community cohesion (unity) and employment for the youth. These are all geared towards a sustainable developed environment.

The project was set up by ISOCARP Members Alexander Boakye Marful and Christian Horn and has the support of the Society.
