Dear OAPA/ISOCARP Conference Participants,
Welcome to Portland Oregon! You will arrival at Portland Oregon via the Portland International Airport, which has been voted America’s Best Airport ” 5 YEARS IN A ROW! Once you have picked up your luggage you will continue to your hotel. There are a number of options, taxi, bus, shuttle, and light rail immidately located outside the baggage claim doors on islands 1, 2, and 3. Airport staff can direct you to where the shuttle kiosks are located.
The Port of Portland website www.flypdx.com/PDX provides maps to help you navigate your way through the airport. The Portland ground transportation link will also provide a list of transportation service providers and their contact information http://flypdx.com/PDX/GroundTransportation.
- Taxis – immediately outside the baggage claim doors
Blue Star shuttle has agreed to sponsor our conference and offers a discounted rate of $11.00 USD one way. Departures from the airport are every half hour. A roundtrip fare of $22.00 will ensure you drop off and pickup from your hotel.
Blue Start Shuttle will take you to your hotel door step and even load and unload luggage.
For your departure date call to reserve your pickup from hotel to the airport. To use the discounted rate make sure you inform the agent you are a OAPA/ISOCARP conference participant.- Bus – located immediately outside the baggage claims doors. The routes and schedules are accessible in the TriMet link shown below.
- TriMet (light rail) far right/Concourse B area outside of baggage doors – red line will take you to the convention center and into downtown Portland within 30-35 minutes for $2.50 USD. A day pass is $5.00 USD. In contrast to the Blue Star Shuttle the Light Rail stops at given stops and passengers are to walk to their hotels with luggage.Routes, schedules, maps, and fares can be accessed from this website: https://trimet.org/schedules/index.htm.

The host hotels are located near the Convention Center.
