ISOCARP WOMEN IN PLANNING AWARD 

In celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day today, the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) is pleased to announce the new ISOCARP Women in Planning Awards, initiated by Board and Executive Committee Member Elisabeth Belpaire. The Awards will be granted during the next World Planning Congress in Toronto, enriching the already-established tradition of ISOCARP Awards. ISOCARP reinforces its commitment to recognize and celebrate women’s contributions and achievements as professional role models in the Society and beyond. We hope all of our members are looking forward to the call for entries and nominations, which will be issued next month.

ISOCARP WOMEN IN PLANNING LEADERSHIP TEAM 

In keeping with our commitment to work toward a more equitable sustainable urban future and amplify the voice of women in planning, we are also celebrating the 8^th of March through the announcement of the first ISOCARP Women in Planning Leadership Team.

Kickstarted by Elisabeth, this team will organise exciting events and networking opportunities for women working in planning and our male and non-binary colleagues. This leadership team will shape internal and contribute to global policy agendas, and promote professional excellence of women in planning.
