This month, three new international staff members have been recruited by ISOCARP to strengthen the Secretariat in preparation of our 54th World Congress in Bodø, Norway and ahead of organisational reforms.
Federico Aili comes from Italy and as a project assistant at ISOCARP, he is working on the “success” and “relevance” of the upcoming Congress. Before pursuing his master’s degree in Urban Planning and Urban Management at IHS in Rotterdam, Federico worked as a qualified urban planner in his home country.
A fellow IHS graduate from Germany, Tjark Gall, has arrived to ISOCARP following several years of international experience in China, Malawi and Uganda among other places. In his role as a project assistant, Tjark is helping to coordinate our Young Planning Professional workshop during the Congress in Bodø, in which he participated two years ago in Durban and described as one of his “greatest memories”.
Finally, Balint Horvath is a Hungarian masters graduate, who came to the HQ from London where he has studied Urban Development Planning at UCL. At ISOCARP, he is beginning to work on member relations, communication and organisational reform. During the Congress, Balint will be asking participants for their opinion on how ISOCARP could improve its overall value for individual as well as institutional members.
We look forward to introducing them in person next week at the Congress in Bodø!
