Dear members,

As a Conference partner, ISOCARP endorses the European ‘Urbanism Next‘ Event that will be held June 24-26, 2020 in Rotterdam, and organized by POLIS, the University of Oregon, TNO and the New Urban Mobility Alliance.

Over 250 planners, architects, landscape architects, developers, technology experts, elected officials, academics, and many others are expected to attend the conference.

How can we make sure that technologies and innovation in urban mobility through the digital transition actually make our cities better? To go from a reactive to a proactive approach, we need to engage political decision-makers, planning and design professionals, real estate developers and the urban logistics sector, researchers and entrepreneurs, mobility service providers and corporate mobility planners, and many more.

Urbanism Next Europe will bring them together to discuss what’s next for Urban Mobility and Development. The sessions at Urbanism Next Europe will feature in-depth presentations exploring how technological, societal and economic mobility trends will change land use, urban design, transport, real estate, environment, equity,  health, economy and governance.

The application deadline for sessions and presentations is 28th February. For more details regarding the call for session applications and speakers, please visit the website and download the information booklet.

We strongly encourage ISOCARP members to apply for a session or individual presentation! ISOCARP members will also benefit from an early bird discount during the whole registration period. Sebastien Goethals, director of technical assistance, will be present at the conference and will organize a meeting for ISOCARP members, during which we will discuss together initiatives and projects linking urbanism and mobility in Europe and beyond.

We look forward to meeting you at the Urbanism Next Conference in Rotterdam!
