Since its foundation in 1965, each year on 8 November, ISOCARP has heralded World Town Planning Day. WTPD was initiated in 1949 by the late Professor Carlos Maria della Paolera of the University of Buenos Aires to advance public and professional interest in planning, both locally and abroad. While we has just waved out #UrbanOctober and celebrated World Cities Day (31 October), WTPD is the only day that put the spotlight on the merits of urban and territorial planning.

Are you an ISOCARP Member who is preparing for a WTPD event in your community, city or country? Share your story by using #WTPD2019  together with #ISOCARP on Twitter to raise awareness for people and planet-centered territorial planning!
