I am  architect, planner and author based in New Delhi, India; Graduated from Chandigarh College of Architecture, India and Post-graduation from Politecnico Di Milano, Italy.  I am Director and Professor of School of Architecture and Design, LPU one of largest university of India. I was awarded as ‘Most Admired Education Influencers in India 2022’ and ‘Global Educational Influencer 2020’, ‘Indian Young Achievers Award 2009’. I had been actively involved in academia and research. Advisory member of various think tanks of national and international importance, invited members for various projects with global leaders including Prime Ministers, Governors , Ambassadors, Mayors, Policy makers, United Nation, WHO, UN Habitat etc. I am equipped with mixed experiences of varied scale projects, ranging from urban scale to Buildings. Appeared in TV Channels, Radio, Print and online media in India and abroad. Several publications and invited lectures, in national and international conferences, lectured at many national and international forums on various issues related to cities, climates, communities, social issues, sustainable environment in India, Spain, Hong Kong, South Africa, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Korea, USA, Taiwan, Poland, UK including Columbia University, New York, GSD Harvard, USA, Cambridge University, UK and many more. 

I am contesting for Board Member of ISOCARP this year. If elected I will try my best to put the efforts and investment of my time for making ISOCARP’s reach and society’s activities globally. More particularly in Global South, Asia.  I had been associations with ISOCARP for various YPP, Russia, MSRL, Poland and many more. I was team member for ‘World Planning Congress’ Doha and also member of this year 59th ISOCARP + 5th Urban Economy Forum, World Planning Congress, For Climate Action, Urban Finance! In Toronto, Canada. 

I would also like to initiatives activities and new projects in which all members of Society should engage on very regular basis. It is very evident that not all members of society are actively participating in all programs. Very less percentage of members are engaged in these activities. I believe society has great pool of talented planners and professionals and present format of initiatives and management is not able to engage all member in systematic ways.  

To engage members from all part of world, I would like to advocate for local chapters, centers in each continents or delegate representation of region, so all geography of planet earth should have voice and connect with our society.  

Another very important core asset of ISOCARP are Institutional Members. There are great potential of maximizing activities with Society’s Institutional member by means of more academic workshops, engaging their students and faculties. It will also help for increasing individual members, professional associations.  

In nutshell following are few of my aim as future Board Member of ISOCARP.
– ISOCARP Goes Global
– Increase of membership from all part of parts of world.
– Engagements with leaders and stakeholders of global cities from across the world.
– Meaningful associations with Society and ISOCARP Institute.
– Association with Academic institutes
