Marytė is a Programme Manager at ISOCARP, where she is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of the annual ISOCARP World Planning Congress. She plays a key role in managing complex international workflows, working closely with partners, contributors and committees to ensure high-quality outcomes across all stages of the Congress.
Alongside her Congress work, she is Technical Editor for the Congress Proceedings, ensuring the quality and consistency of ISOCARP’s flagship publication. Prior to joining ISOCARP in 2021, Marytė worked in international organisations delivering social impact projects focused on sustainability and climate action.

Olaf Gerson

Olaf is an architect and urban planner with over 25 years of international experience in spatial development, urban strategy, and project coordination. He has worked across Europe, Asia, and Africa, supporting governments, NGOs, and design teams. At ISOCARP, he supports core operations including member engagement, congress coordination, and project acquisition. He brings a hands-on, structured approach and values collaboration across ISOCARP’s global network.

Nerea is a communications and publications Intern, currently in her fourth year of European Studies in The Hague University. With a strong academic foundation in European matters and a keen interest in international cooperation and policy, she brings a fresh insight and enthusiasm to the team. She supports ISOCARP’s communications and editorial tasks, contributing to content creation, publications, and outbound activities.

Akram supports the smooth functioning of ISOCARP’s Secretariat through his role as Membership & Administration Officer. With a background in Salesforce and strong administrative skills, he brings a professional and thoughtful approach to fostering connections within the ISOCARP society. Akram is committed to strengthening internal processes and supporting the Society’s global activities through collaborative and responsive administrative support.

Communications and Publications Intern

Shiva is a Communications and Publications Intern at ISOCARP and a graduate of Leiden University, where he completed degrees in International Relations and Crisis and Security Management. His academic work centres on global policy, governance, and international cooperation. Within the Secretariat, he supports ISOCARP’s communications and editorial tasks, contributing to content creation, publications, and outreach activities. He brings a global perspective and strong research and writing skills to the team.
