In 2012 ISOCARP signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Wuhan (China). The intent is to establish an ongoing working relationship between the city and ISOCARP. The chosen vehicle for making this possible was the organisation of a UPAT  (Urban Planning Advisory Team) workshop.
