International Women’s Day 2022
On this International Women’s Day, the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) celebrates its international women members and network of Women in Planning around the world.
Planning is key to effecting real progress toward global sustainable development goals and addressing the climate crisis, and a New Planning Agenda will depend on gender equity in our profession and Planners who are representative of the communities they serve.
ISOCARP has been focused on building a network of Women in Planning and engaging on the topics of gender equality and women’s leadership, with inaugural World Planning Congress events and a Cyber Agora on Women in Planning in 2021. This March we will continue this dialogue with Cyber Agora #7, which will again bring together inspirational women leaders in planning, placemaking and community development from the global north and south.
Join our open Cyber Agora #7 on Women in Planning, coming March 31, 10 am CET

On this International Women’s Day, let’s recognise the Women in Planning who are breaking down barriers, who make a difference in our communities, and are shaping urban environments that are safe, accessible, affordable, and sustainable for everyone. Let’s also recognise that so much more needs to be done to empower women’s leadership and participation.
