The International Society of City and Regional Planners condemns the actions of war and aggression in Ukraine and stands for peaceful relations and collaboration, and territorial cohesion.

In response, ISOCARP is taking the firm position of suspending all relationships with Russian institutions. ISOCARP currently does not include any Russian Institutional Members and will not accept new applications until further notice.

At the same time, we promote respectful communication and mutual support among all the Members of our Society, including our Russian Individual Members. ISOCARP encourages the active engagement of our community of planners on global events that have far-reaching physical, social and cultural impacts.

Our solidarity goes to everyone directly and indirectly impacted by this conflict. War brings devastating effects for everyone. As an international community, we urge the respect of fundamental human rights, diplomatic processes, and peaceful resolutions. ISOCARP continues to advocate for cultural inclusion and internationalism as antidotes to wars and violence.
