The UN SG High-level Advisory Group on Sustainable Transport held its first meeting at the UN Headquarters on November 17-18 2014. The aim of the twelve member Advisory Group is to promote accelerated implementation of sustainable transport, aligned closely with the objectives of inclusive and equitable growth, social development, protection of the global environment and ecosystems, and addressing climate change.

On November 18 the Advisory group met UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and exchanged the views on the critical issues the Advisory group will be working on during their term 2014-2016.
