Resignation of Gaby Kurth

The hundreds of present and past members who knew Gaby as the heart and soul of the International Society of City and Regional Planners will be saddened to learn of her resignation, effective from the end of February. Gaby came to work for the members, in the head office in The Hague, in 1991 – so she has supported twelve Presidents, many Secretary Generals, and a large number of Board members, as well as those hundreds of members who relied upon Gaby to sort things out, to support the YPPs, and to ensure that the Congress was always a happy event – all 27 of them! The Board is preparing an appropriate way to recognise Gaby’s unique service to the Society and in the meantime, on behalf of the members, wishes Gaby continuing fulfillment in her next role. The Board is also able to announce that the office continues to operate efficiently, with a new generation of staff working on membership engagement, congresses, workshops, and publications.

On behalf of the Board,

Martin Dubbeling, President
Didier Vancutsem, Secretary General
