Candidates
The Board is proud to announce that on the Elections 2020 Call for Candidates we have received nominations for three candidates for the office of President-Elect and 44 candidates for the position of ordinary Board Members. In the meantime, several candidates have withdrawn their applications, so we finally make a selection among two candidates for President-Elect and 29 candidates for Board Member. Still, this number of candidates is much larger than we anticipated, and it is proof of the vitality of ISOCARP as an active network of planners worldwide.
The candidates and nominators are current members of ISOCARP and must agree with the Society’s Constitution, the Code of Conduct and the elections document. The election brochure explains the governance of ISOCARP and the roles and activities of the elected officers. These officers have an honorary function (unpaid). Members of the Board are financially responsible for the Society.
