Now in its second year, Liverpool International Waterfront Forum is a key event in the waterfront calendar. Brought to you by the Liverpool Waterfront Business Partnership, the 2015 conference will bring together best practice examples and debate the measurable elements which come together to make a worldclass waterfront destination.
Role of Culture and Place-Making as Tools for Fostering Economic Growth The theme for LIWF2015 will explore the role and importance of culture in developing and regenerating waterfronts. Successes from around the world will be highlighted, such as the multi award winning Titanic Belfast, a 5* tourist attraction and one of the world’s foremost mixed-use waterfront projects, the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
Amos Brandeis, General Rapporteur of the 50th ISOCARP Congress in Gdynia, Poland, will give a keynote presentation providing a summary of the findings on ‘Urban Transformations – Cities and Water‘.
Why attend
The Liverpool International Waterfront Forum is the only platform which puts economic growth at the heart of discussions for an ambitious waterfront city and is free to attend. Attendees will discover approaches from other cities where their waterfront is a key asset, developing a sense of place to enliven and encourage investment.
Attendees will have opportunities to discuss with others facing similar challenges and network with practitioners who have delivered solutions from architects and developers, to investors and advisors.
