ISOCARP is proud to announce a Young Planning Professionals’ workshop (YPP) in Ningbo, China, from 26 to 30 August 2019. The Ningbo YPP workshop is organised in collaboration with the United National International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the China Urban Planning Society (UPSC), and undertaken by Ningbo Bureau of Nature Resources and Planning (NBNRP), Ningbo Urban Planning & Design Institute (NBPI) and the ISOCARP Institute, Centre for Urban Excellence.

The theme of the workshop is ‘Child-responsive Urban Planning’ and the case study area selected is Mingdong Community, a neighbourhood with a strong presence of children whose needs have to be urgently addressed in order to improve their daily practices inside the community.

The call is open for 6 international young planners, not older than 35 years and with a keen interest in the topic of the workshop. The selected participants will work together with 12 Chinese young planners. International and local coordinators will complete the team.

Travel allowance will be provided, as well as lodging and boarding. Two student participants will be awarded for their outstanding contribution.
