These awards are a testament to ISOCARP’s commitment to promoting best practices and recognizing those who significantly contribute to shaping more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities.

This year’s awards include:

• Award for Excellence
  Honouring outstanding planning projects and strategies in two new streams: Planned Projects and Realized Projects.
• Gerd Albers Award
  Celebrating high-quality publications by ISOCARP members that advance knowledge and discourse in the planning field.
• Student Award
  Supporting the next generation of urban planners through recognition of exceptional student projects and theses.
• Sam van Embden Award
  Reintroduced for ISOCARP’s 60th anniversary, this award recognizes excellence in Lifetime Achievement, Organizational Excellence, and Urban Leadership.
• Women in Planning Award (New in 2025) – Details coming soon!
  Honouring outstanding contributions by women in planning at both early and advanced career levels.
• Planning Process Award (New in 2025)
  Acknowledging innovative, inclusive, and participatory planning processes that empower communities and stakeholders.
