Past YPPs 1991-2016

Up to today, 48 YPP workshops have been organised worldwide; including 31 congress workshops in USA, South Africa, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Australia, Japan, Russia, China, Kenya, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, Greece, Mexico, Germany, Japan, Israel, Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Indonesia since 1991; 17 national and regional workshops in the United Kingdom, Russia, Poland and China; and and 4 Intensive Training Programmes have been organised in the United Arab Emirates since 2011 since 2011. Apart from ISOCARP’s societal activities, the rich outreach is evident through the individual experience territories of the members of the Society.

Young Planning Professionals’ 25th Anniversary Workshop – Durban 2016

According to the tradition the YPP workshop was held again prior to the 52nd ISOCARP congress in Durban, South Africa. The workshop on 'Cities we have vs Cities we need' was organized in partnership with University of KwaZulu Natal.

Young Planning Professionals´ Workshop – Rotterdam 2015

''Cities save the world. Let´s reinvent planning." The 39 selected YPPs belonged to the 'creative engines' of the congress in the two-day local workshops in the 12 host cities of Groningen, Amsterdam, Delft, Wageningen, Schiphol, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Deventer, Maastricht, Dortmund and Brussels on 19 and 20 October.

Young Planning Professionals National Workshop 2012, Pushchino RUS

In order to develop a new way of urban planning in Russia, there is a need of cross-border discussion on best available methods and techniques in contemporary city planning and urban design and opportunities of implementing them into the Russian planning system. In order to achieve this, RUPA and ISOCARP came into agreement to organize a National (Russian) YPP workshop on the topic of the Spaces for Childhood as one of the most socially fragile topic in the contemporary urban system.
